আমার নীরব হৃদয় নিভৃতে----
চৈত্র্য প্রখর নিথরদগ্ধে এসেছো তুমি।
বিস্তৃত সান্ধ্য চাঁদ-যেমন---
দুঃখী আকাশটাকে দৃঢ় আলিঙ্গণে ভরে-
একটু একটু করে দখল করে চরাচর-
আমার বেগতিক জীবন-যৌবন,
দগ্ধ দিনগুলো,আমার আস্ত পৃথিবী-
দখল করেছো তুমি চন্দ্রালুপ জ্যোত্স্নায়।
অসহায় আমি, আমার সারাটা যৌবন--
পৃথিবীর সমস্ত কলহ ঘিরে একদিন,
বর্দ্ধিত দাবি-দাওয়াসহ আমি আজ-
-সে কৃতিত্ব সঁপেছি তোমায় ।
রঞ্জিত চাঁদ পূর্ণ-প্রকাশে--
তরণীর সৈনিক, বয়ে যায় নীরবতা বেয়ে-
ঠিক তোমারি টুকরো চাহনি জ্যোত্স্নায় ঢাকে--
ঝাপটা হৃদয়ে তোলে স্ব-গঠিত ঢেউ--
আমার বিস্ময়গুলো ঘিরে তার স্বাদ শুধু বদলায়--
হৃদয়ে লেগে থাকে তার দরদী আঁতর।
এই বিশ্বাস,এই স্বপ্নিল বেশ-এই রেশ
সৌরভে মাতোয়ারা প্রেম জমে যায় শহর নগরে--
যখন আসো এ হৃদয়ে স্থিত উত্তাপে,নিভৃতে-
থেকে যায় শুধু মূহুর্তের স্বেদ মৃত চৈত্র্য উত্তাপ---
আমার প্রিয় বালুচরী ভাজে,কতকাল আরো দীর্ঘকাল---
You come to the silence of my heart,
Of a still summer night,
When the fullmoon envelops
the desolate sky in a deep embrace.
And my youth,my whole beings,
the world that I call mine----
are all surcharged with
the glory of your advent.
