যখন বিচ্ছিন্ন দুজন
নৈঃশব্দ্য আর অশ্রুজলে
আধেক ভাঙা হৃদয়ে
বহুকাল এই বিচ্ছিন্নতা
কেমন বিবর্ণতা তোমার গালে আর হিম -
হিমশীতল তোমার চুমুস্পর্শ
সত্যি ! সময়ের ভবিষ্যৎবাণী
দুঃখপরায়ণ ।
সকালের কুয়াশা -
আমার কপালে শীত ডুবে যায়
এটা ছিল অনেকটা সতর্কবাণীর ন্যায়
যা এখন অনুভবের ।
তোমার সংকল্প সকল উবে গেছে
আর আলোর ন্যায় তোমার পসার
তোমার নাম উচ্চারিত হয় শুনি
আর এর লজ্জায় তা ক্রমশ ছড়িয়ে দিই ।
আমার অগ্রে তুমি চিহ্নিত হও
কানের নিকট একটা নতজানু প্রার্থনা
আমার উপর কেমন সমর্পণ আসে
কেন এত প্রিয় হয়েছিলে ?
জানে না কেউ , কতটুকু জানি তোমায়
কেই বা চিনেছিল বেশি -
প্রকাশ গভীরতায় ,
তোমায় নিয়ে দীর্ঘ দীর্ঘ অনুতাপ ।
গোপনে আমাদের হয় দেখা
নৈঃশব্দ্যে আমার দুঃখ কাতরতা -
যা তোমার হৃদয় পারতো ভুলে যেতে
তোমার আত্মা ছলনাময় ।
যদি দেখা পাই
দীর্ঘ ব্যবধানে
কেমন হবে অভিবাদন ?
