১০-১১ বছর আগের লেখা আমার একটি সহজ সরল ইংরেজী কবিতার বাংলা অনুবাদ।ইংরেজী কবিতা টাও দিলাম।

আমার মন আনন্দে ভরে
তুষার শুভ্র সাদা বক দেখে—
খোলা আঁখে স্হির দাঁড়িয়ে জলের ‘পরে
সরু কাঁঠি হলুদ ঠ্যাং লম্বা ঠোঁঠে;
ছোটো ছোটো মাছ ধরে মোটে,
সেই হাঁসুলিবাঁকের লেকে—
খায় সে উল্লাসে যবে শিকার মেলে ৷
আমার হৃদয় আঁখি জলে ডোবে
যবে এ পাষাণ হৃদয় মানব আঘাতে
তাঁরে ধারালো বর্শা ল’য়ে হাতে ৷
চেতনার আঁখি হারাইছে ওরা আজ সবে—
জানে না সবার সৌন্দর্য আছে এ ভবে ৷
হে মানব খোলো আঁখি খোলো তোমার প্রাণ
সবারে বাঁচতে দাও গেয়ে বাঁচার গান ৷

The Snow White Heron----আঁধার বারিবালা
My heart does brim with gladness when I see
A snow white Heron on the shore of a marsh.
With yellow long stick legs and bill
And the open eyes upon water,it stands still.
The small fishes only,on it pries with high glee..
My heart overflows with tears;
When man does hunt the Heron with spears.
He has no eye of conscience
Within his stone cloaked heart,
That every thing is a charm to the earth.
