কী দেখো বাবু?
আলু পটল কুমড়া দেখি
চাল থেকে হয় ভাত,
আর দেখি গো হাড় হাভাতে
দুঃখে কাটে রাত।
কুকুর দেখি গরু দেখি
ময়দানেতে মেলা,
বাঁদর দেখি চালের উপর
হরেক কিসিম খেলা।
দিঘি দেখি জলের তলায়
মাছ থাকে আর ব্যাং,
বৃষ্টি হলে খাল আর বিলে
ঘ্যাঙর ঘ্যাঙর ঘ্যাঙ।
বই দেখি আর খাতার গাদা
মা বকে রোজ রোজ,
যেই দেশে নাই পড়াশোনা
দিও আমায় খোঁজ।
যাবই চলে সেই দেশেতে
লাটাই ঘুড়ি নিয়ে,
আর নিব সাথ লাট্টু লেটি
খেলবো সেথায় গিয়ে।

What are you looking at baby
What are you looking at baby?
I see the potato and pumpkin
rice making from grain
I see the proletariat
spending night in rockey plain.
I see dogs and the cows
too many in the field,
monkeys up on the tin roof
so many of games they yield.
I see the bottom of the water
there I see the frog and fish
when it rains, canals and banks sounds
ghangarghang ghangarghang, like this.
I see books and piles of notebooks
mom rebuke me each and every day,
the country where no pressure of lession,
where it is can you say?
I will go to that country
with the wheel and my kite,
I willl take the spinner and the rope
I would like to play there, alright!
