মাসব্যাপী সিয়াম রোজার শেষে,
দুনিয়া জোড়া মুসলিমরা চলছে হেসে হেসে,
ঈদ এসেছে দেশে দেশে, আনন্দেরই বেশে;
দেশে দেশে নামাজ শেষে, কুলাকুলির রেশে,
বলছে সবাই "ঈদ মুবারক" আনন্দেরই লেশে।
কুর্মা, পোলাও, ফিরনি, জর্দা, কুফতা, কালিয়া রেঁধে,
অপেক্ষমান বন্ধু স্বজন, কর্ম ব্যাস্ত অতিথিদের মাঝে,
নিত্য নতুন পরিচ্ছদ আজ সবার দেহে সাজে;
ঘরে ঘরে যাচ্ছে সবাই সকাল, দুপুর, সাঁঝে,
খানাপিনা, গল্প গুজব, দেশব্যাপী রাজে,
বন্ধু স্বজন ফিরছে সদাই ভিন্ন ভিন্ন ভাঁজে,
এদিক সেদিক দলে দলে নানান রকম কাজে,
আনন্দ আর আনন্দ আজ বিশ্বাব্যাপি নাজে।
ঈদ উদযাপন শুভ হোক, চলুক বিশ্ব হেসে,
ঈদের খুশী সদাই চলুক আকাশ পথে ভেসে,
ঈদ মৌসুমে কল্যাণ হোক, মানুষ ভালোবেসে,
সারা বছর ভালো থাকুন বিনা কায়ক্লেশে,
বিশ্বব্যাপী শান্তি আসুক, যন্ত্রণার নিঃশেষে।।
Eid Mubarak
At the end of the month-long fasting array,
Muslims around the world are happy today,
Eid has come from country to country, in delightful spray;
At the end of the prayers foray,
Cuddling each other in pleasant display,
Uttering "Eid Mubarak" to each other in a joyful say.
Kurma, Polao, Firni, Jorda, Kufta, Kalia in display,
Friends & relatives in the way, Entertaining guests in tray,
New clothes are worn by everyone today;
Going from house to house day & night, hooray,
Food, drink and gossip, all over the country portray,
Friends and relatives are visiting houses in happy sway,
From side to side in different play
Happiness and joy, all over the world today.
Happy Eid, let the world be in bless,
May the happiness of Eid always float in the ambience,
May the Good luck of Eid season last round the year in confidence,
Let love and compassion be in compliance,
Stay well all year round without inconvenience,
Let there be peace in the world, end of all sufferance.
