হে, বিশ্বাসী, অনাহারী, উপবাসী (সিয়াম) শত শত,
যুগে যুগে এই উপবাসব্রত,
অন্তর জগতে এনে দিয়েছে পরিবর্তন প্রতিশ্রুত!
অন্তর্যামি অবগত,
তোমার কোষের অন্তরে চলে পরিশোধন (Autophagy) অনবরত;
বিশ্রামে পরিপাকতন্ত্র হয় ক্রমশ সঞ্জীবিত (Regain),
উপবাসে, রক্তচাপ-লিপিড-শর্করা হয় ক্রমান্বয়ে পরিশালিত।
উপবাস, মননে অনন্য ধার্মিকতা (Piety) করে জাগ্রত,
হে উপবাসী, হও! স্রষ্টায় অবনত;
উপবাস, মানবকে করে নিয়ত প্রশিক্ষিত,
সংযমী, সংযত হও, হও অনুগত,
উপবাসীর ইন্দ্রিয় সতত নিয়ন্ত্রিত।
উপবাসী মাস,
ঐক্য আর সাম্যের বাণীকে করে অনন্ত সমুন্নত,
ধৈর্য্য আর আন্তরিকতাকে করে বর্ধিত,
সহানুভূতি, মর্মিতা অনুসৃত,
প্রান্তিকে অন্তর হয়ে উঠে নিশিদিন পরিণত।
হে উপবাসী বিশ্বাসী অনুগত,
তোমার জগতে আজ অন্তরায়নের (ইতেকাফ) সুযোগ আবর্তিত,
নিজেকে অন্তরিন করো, উপসানাকে করো উন্নীত,
স্রষ্টায় নৈকট্যকামী, স্বকীয় আত্নাকে করো পরিবৃত,
তোমার চিন্তার পরিধিকে করো দিগন্তে ব্যাপৃত,
অধ্যয়নে নিয়োজিত কর, বিবেক করো পরিশালিত,
নিজেকে ধ্যানে, অনুচিন্তনে করো অনাবিল বিস্তৃত।
Isolation (Itekaf)
O' Millions of fasting believers,
From time immemorial, this fasting in Ramadan,
Has brought commitment to transformation,
To change the inner world of consciousness.
Almighty is aware,
Autophagy, constantly ongoing in the heart of your cell;
At rest the digestive system is gradually revived,
In fasting, blood pressure-lipid-sugar is gradually refined.
Fasting increases Piety,
O you who fast! Bow down to the Creator in sanctity,
Fasting, a constant training for human being for fidelity,
To be moderate, loyal, increase power of frugality,
Bring constant control of sensorium & impetuousity.
Month of fasting,
Eternally exalted by the word of unity and equality,
Patience and sincerity
Sympathy, Compassion & religiosity
At the end, the psyche develops a maturity.
O fasting loyal believer,
In your world today there is an opportunity for intercession,
Isolate (Itekaf) yourself, exalt your prayers,
Bring yourself closer to the Creator, seggregate your soul,
Enhance your thinking and propagate to the horizon,
Engage in study, Bring transparency to conscience,
Meditate yourself, Contemplation will lead to veneration.
