বই পড়ুন,
আমার লিখা একটি দুটি কিংবা তিন,
চার কিংবা পাঁচটি কবিতার বই, গল্পের বই, সত্যের বই,
অর্থের বই, সাহিত্য কিংবা উপন্যাস;
ইতিহাস, বিজ্ঞান, ভূগোল কিংবা জীবনের কোন নির্যাস,
ধর্মের বই, কর্মের বই, পরিব্রাজকের অধ্যাস,
জীবন চরিত, যুক্তি-তর্ক, অধিবিদ্যা, দর্শনের বিশ্বাস,
ছয়, সাত, আট, হাজার কিংবা লক্ষ কোটি বই পড়ে নিন নিঃশ্বাস,
বই পড়ে, আপনি হয়ে উঠুন জগতের শ্রেষ্ঠ মানুষের প্রজ্ঞার অধিশ্বাস;
বই পড়া হয়ে উঠুক আমাদের নিত্যদিনের অভ্যাস।
বই পড়ুন,
বই পড়া এনে দেবে অর্থ-বিত্ত, সন্যাস,
বন্দি মুক্তির বিন্যাস,
বই এনে দেবে চিন্তা-চেতনার উদ্ভাস,
বুদ্ধিমত্তার বিকাশ,
বই জুড়াবে আনন্দ-সুখ, তৃপ্তি-আনন্দের প্রকাশ,
বই কুড়াবে সহমর্মিতা, সহানুভূতি, সহিষ্ণুতার উচ্ছ্বাস,
বই লাঘবে দুঃখ-দারিদ্র-সন্ত্রাস,
পরাজিত করে রোগ-জ্বরা-ব্যাধির প্রতিভাস,
বই উড়াবে, মুক্ত প্রাণের সোল্লাস!
বই পড়ুন,
বই হয়ে উঠুক, বন্ধু সভায় আড্ডার উল্লাস,
বই হয়ে উঠুক, নিত্য দিনের সঙ্গী-সাথীর আশ্বাস,
বই হয়ে উঠুক, বেদনার দিনে, একান্ত সময়ের অনন্য বন্ধু, বিশ্বাস!
বই হয়ে উঠুক, হিতাকাংখি-আত্নিয়ের সহানুভূতির নিঃশ্বাস;
বই হয়ে উঠুক, উপহারের কৃত্তিবাস,
বই হয়ে উঠুক, রাজনীতিতে মূল্যবোধের মহাশ্বাস!!
জীবন চলার পথে বই হয়ে উঠুক বন্ধু, অনন্য সাধারন বিদ্যাভ্যাস।।
Read books,
One, two or three, written by me,
Four or five books of poetry, story, fact or fiction,
Economics, literature, novels, contradiction;
History, science, geography or life conviction,
Books of religion, action, traveler's description,
Biography, logic, metaphysics, philosophy, narration;
Breathe in six, seven, eight, Books a thousand or a trillion depiction,
By reading books, you become the breath of wisdom benediction;
In this generation, Let books become our daily disposition.
Read books,
Reading books will bring wealth, will make you scholastic,
Prisoners will become monastic,
Thoughts and consciousness will become holistic,
Intelligence will develop in a fashion artistic,
The books will add joy, happiness, expression of contentment, humanistic;
The book will pick up sympathy, empathy, a wave of tolerance make you altruistic,,
Books will alleviate misery-poverty-terror, will make you optimistic,
Defeating the disease-fever-sickness, will make you moralistic,
Books will fly, the joy of free life will be in expression idealistic.

Assurance of daily companion's historic inscription;
In the day of sorrow, the unique friend of conviction,
The well-wishers breath of sympathetic prescription;
Let the book be, a gift of credit transcription,
Let the book bring new breath in politics of contradiction;
Let books become a way in life's submission,
Unparalleled friend's musical composition,
A unique device for humanistic education.
