বন্ধু! ডুবন্ত এক বিভ্রান্তির অতল সাগরে,
অজানা পথে অগ্রগামী এক অন্ধকার ভোরে,
লক্ষ্যহীন অজানা সুদূরে;
অকস্মাৎ সুর্য্যের আলো এসে ঢাকে নয়ন চাদরে,
বন্ধুহীন প্রান্তর ডাকে, আদরে আদরে,
হিমাচল জলে ভাসে, সাগরে সাগরে।
বিভ্রান্তির অতল সাগরে বন্ধু, ভাসমান জোয়ারে,
রাজনীতি এসে কড়া নাড়ে বদ্ধ দুয়ারে,
লক্ষ্যবিহীন বন্ধু নিদ্রিত কোয়াড়ে,
গন্তব্যহিন পথ হারিয়ে বন্ধু, কড়া নাড়েন দুয়ারে দুয়ারে,
আজ তাই, পশ্চাপদসরন অসুচিত সমরে,
স্বপ্নবাসি জলে ভেসে এসে কুড়াতে চান মুক্তো অনলে,
কথার সাগরে, সমালোচনার ঝড়ে, নিমজ্জিত বন্ধু পলে পলে,
পশ্চাদপসরণ, ঘোষণা আজ অঘোষিত আঁচলে।।

Suddenly bright Sunlight covers the eyes with a braid,
