তোমরা যাহারে সুরা বল ভাই,তাহা কখনও আমি নাহি খাই,
আমার মদ ঐশ্বরিক সুধা,মিটায় ক্ষুধা,যাহা খেলে বল পাই।
আমার সাকি,লাজে ভরা আঁখি,সে আমারই গৃহিনী বধূ;-
চুষে চুষে শত ফুল,যাহা আনে অলি কুল,সেই মধু খেতে চাই।

My wine is the imaginary spiritual liquor of life,
And the Saki is my beautiful and helpful wife.
Who by her relentless hospitality keeps me calm and quite;-
The honey I drink is collected from roses and kept in a hive.
