Don’t hurt a poet
I am telling you
Don’t do so.

If you hurt
Then the Birds will stop
Singing,
Flowers will not
Be blooming,
Rivers will stop
Flowing,
Wind will stop
Blowing,
Sun will not
Be glowing,
Stars will never
Twinkle,
There won’t be any
Jingle,
Unicorns won’t have
A horn,
Humpty dumpty may never
Be born,
Seas will be empty

What! What did you say?
You will.

You will be running here and there
Without any clue.
You would never know
That the sky is blue.
Moon will never lit,
Or if it you will never know
Nights will be lifeless
Like a cake without cream
How your mother will
Tell bedtime stories
And how will you dream.
How will you propose a girl?
How she will respond to you?
You better not hurt a poet
Cause I am telling it to you.
