কোনো এক নিশীথ বেলায়।
সূর্যের জঠর ভেদ করে--
ভূমিষ্ঠ হ'লাম চন্দ্রের কোলে !
আকাশ গঙ্গার পথ ধ'রে--
হাঁটতে হাঁটতে পৌঁছে গেলাম
দিগন্তের সীমানায় ।
হঠাৎ ঝাঁপ দিয়ে পড়লাম--
মহাসমূদ্রের বুকে !
তখন দারুণ পিপাসার্ত আমি।
এক নি:শ্বাসে পান করলাম
পৃথিবীর সপ্ত সাগরের জল !
ভূমণ্ডল তখন ভীষণ তৃষ্ণায়---
ছট ফট ক'রে কাঁদছে !
আমি নি:শ্বাস টানতেই --
বায়ুমণ্ডল আমার নাকের ভিতরে
পিঁপড়ার মতো সড়াত ক'রে ঢুকে গেল!
তখন ধরণী কম্পমান !
অক্সিজেন শূণ্য চরাচর !
জীবকুলের দমবন্ধ হ'য়ে আসছে!
প্রখর তপনের তেজে--
উদ্ভিদকুল শুকিয়ে যেন
অগ্নিদগ্ধ দাবানল বন।
আকাশ চিৎকার করে কাঁদছে !
মেঘ চাই -মেঘ চাই ।
কিন্তু সমূদ্রের বুকে তখন--
এক ফোটা অশ্রুবিন্দুও নেই!
হঠাৎ সপ্ত আসমান ফেটে--
ঝরনাধারার মতো জল ঝরছে!
আমি ঐ বারিতে--
আমার সদ্যজাত শরীর ডোবালাম।
তারপর পবিত্র হ'য়ে--
বুদ্ধ মন্ত্র জপতে থাকলাম।
সত্যম, শিবম, সুন্দরম।
তারপর মহাকাশে---
নক্ষত্রবৃষ্টি শুরু হ'লো !
বকুল ফুলের মতো--
নক্ষত্ররা ঝর ঝর ক'রে ঝরছে---
আমার শরীরের উপর!
সৌদামিনীর সমস্ত তড়িৎ
বিদ্যুৎ ঝলকানিতে---
আমার শরীরে এসে প্রবেশ করল !
আমি যেন এক--
নতুন জ্যোতিপ্রভায় আলোকিত হ'লাম।
এক অভিনব বিস্ময়ে ---
নতুন জন্মলাভ হ'লো আমার !!

I was born in wonder

At some night times.
Through the sun's womb--
Landed in the arms of the moon!
The sky follows the way of the Ganges--
I reached by walking
At the edge of the horizon.
Suddenly I jumped--
In the ocean!
I was very thirsty then.
I drank it in one breath
The water of the world's seven seas!
The earth was very thirsty then---
Crying loudly!
As I catch my breath --
The atmosphere is inside my nose
Entered like an ant!
The warld trembles!
Zero oxygen usually!
Life is being suffocated!
In the heat of intense heat--
Plants are dry
Burning fire forest.
The sky is crying!
I want clouds - I want clouds.
But in the ocean then--
Not even a drop of tears!
Suddenly the seven heavens burst--
Water is flowing like a fountain!
I am in that bar--
I drowned my newborn body.
Then become holy--
I continued chanting the Buddha mantra.
Satyam, Shivam, Sundaram.
Then in space---
The star rain began!
Like a budul flower--
The stars are showering---
On my body!
All currents of thunder
In a lightning strike---
Entered my body!
I'm like a--
I was enlightened by a new light.
In a strange surprise---
New birth is mine!!
