সময়ের সাথে সাথে;
চাই বা না চাই, পাই বা না পাই,
রাখতে হবে মাথে।

সময়ের সাথে তাল মিলিয়ে
জীবনটা যেমন চলে;
শৈশব কৈশোর যৌবন পেরিয়ে
বৃদ্ধরা তাই বলে।

চেতন অচেতন সব পদার্থেই
প্রকৃতি দিয়েছে শর্ত;
আজকের রূপ কাল রবে না
সীমায়ীত নয় মর্ত।

Mind must change

The mind will change — it always does,
With time’s unending tide;
Want it or not, get it or not,
One must the shift abide.

Life moves along in time’s own tune,
Through childhood, youth, and grey;
The elders speak — with softened voice —
Of time that slips away.

In things aware and unaware,
Nature has set its clause;
Today’s own form will fade tomorrow —
Mortality like air blows.
