বুদ্ধ জন্মেছিলেন ৫৬৬ খ্রিস্টপূর্ব
মার্কস জন্মেছিলেন ১৮১৮ খ্রিস্টাব্দে।

সময়ের পার্থক্য ২৩৮৪ বছর
বুদ্ধের সময় ছিল আঁধার ঘেরা দোর
জ্ঞানের আলো জ্বলে নি তখনও
অনেক দূর ছিল- হতে ভোর।

জ্ঞানের আলোর রশ্মি যখন
প্রভাত পেরিয়ে মধ্য গগনে;
মার্কসের জন্ম ঠিক তখন
জ্ঞানের আলোয় আলোকিত ভুবনে।

বুদ্ধ ছিল সে যুগের ধ্রুবতারা
যুগের বিচারে তুলনা হারা;
মার্কস ছিলেন আলোর মধ্যে
একজন প্রদীপ্ত সূর্য তারা।

দেখে ও ঠেকে শিখেছে
আপন চেতনায় বুদ্ধ;
পড়ে, দেখে, ঠেকে শিখেছে
মার্কসের দুয়ার ছিল না রুদ্ধ।

যুগের সাথে যুগ অনুপাতে
এক এক জন ছিলেন মুক্তির দিশা;
দর্শন বলো আর বাস্তব বলো
সেই পথেই কাটবে, ধনতন্ত্রের নিশা।

বুদ্ধ ছিলেন দর্শন ভিত্তিক
আর মার্কস বাস্তব;
বুদ্ধের শান্তির লোলিত বাণী
ওই মার্কসের বিপ্লব।

The Voice of Equality

Buddha was born in days of old,
Five sixty-six Before we're told.
Marx arrived much later on,
In eighteen eighteen, he was born.

Two thousand years and more between,
When Buddha walked through shadows lean.
The door of light was closed so tight,
No dawn, no glow, no morning bright.

But when the light had crowned the sky,
And truth and reason soared up high—
'Twas then that Marx began his stride,
In knowledge deep, he did abide.

Buddha, a star in ages grim,
Unmatched, the world would turn to him.
While Marx—a sun in skies of thought,
With fire and force, the battles fought.

By seeing, feeling—Buddha grew,
His inner self he deeply knew.
While Marx observed, and read, and taught,
With open doors of mind he fought.

Each in their time, a beacon shone,
Guiding the world from dusk till dawn.
Be it vision or action bold,
Their path breaks capitalism’s hold.

Buddha—of peace, a voice profound,
A world of stillness he had found.
While Marx, the storm, the rising tide,
With revolution by his side.
