থাকে অপরিবর্তিত ঝড়-ঝঞ্ঝাটেও;
এটি নাবিকের কাছে নক্ষত্রের মতো,
যার প্রভাব অজ্ঞাত, উচ্চতা প্রমেয়।
প্রেম নয় কাল-দাস, যদিও কপোল
ও গোলাপী ঠোঁট, তার অস্ত্রের অধীনে।
সময়ের তফাতেও থাকে অবিচল;
আর জ্বলজ্বল করে বিচারের দিনে।
আর যদি প্রমাণিত হই আমি ভ্রান্ত,
তবে মোর কাব্য মিথ্যা; সব প্রেম ভ্রান্ত।
