আমি দাবার সামান্য এক গুটি,
খেলার পুতুল, ছুঁয়ে দিলেই লম্ফ দিয়ে উঠি
দাবাড়ুর হাতেই আমার সকল সম্মান,
দাবাড়ুর চালেই আমার ইহজগতের কল্যাণ
দাবাড়ুর চালেই আমার সীমাহীন ক্ষমতা অম্লান,
দাবাড়ুর চালেই জয় বিজয়ের দক্ষতা সটান।
বলির পাঠার মত,
যত্র তত্র ব্যাবহৃত হই বারবার শত শত,
নির্লজ্জ শুকরের মত
যখন বোড় হই তখন দুর্বলতম শক্তিতে নৃত্যরত
এগিয়ে চলি নায়কের মত,
রাজা, রানী, মন্ত্রী, হাতি কিংবা ঘোড়া দাবাড়ুর অবনত।
আমি ঐ দাবার গুটি, নামেই ক্ষমতার আধার
দাবাড়ুর হাতে থাকে সকল শক্তির পাথার
যতই, রাজা আর মন্ত্রী হই, ঘোড়া আর হাতি, খেলার গুটি হই নেতার
আজ আমি বিজয়ী ক্ষমতার আধার
আগামীকাল নেমে আসবে অন্ধকার আমার চারিদিকে বাজবে সেতার
চারিদিকে ঘোর অমানিশার অন্ধকার।
আমি নিত্যদিন ভালোবেসে হয়ে যাই দাবাড়ুর আহার,
রাজ্যহীন, মুকুটহীন মদমত্ত দাবাড়ুর দাবার
গুটি হয়ে উঠে দুর্বৃত্তের খাবার
মন্ত্রী, ঘোড়া, হাতিরা সবাই দাবাড়ুর হাতের দণ্ড, সঙিন মদমত্ত থাবার
গুটির কোন পক্ষ নেই, কালো কিংবা সাদা, শুধুমাত্র রঙ মাখে দাবাড়ুর জামার
দাবাড়ুর হাতে নাচে আমার সম্মান, আমি নিষ্প্রাণ এক গুটি রাজকীয় খেলা দাবার।।

Puppet of the game, Jump up as soon as I am touched
All my honor is in the hands of the Chess Player,
Intelligent move bring welfare to my world
My boundless power may be exhausted by a move,
Chess players move is the key to my winning।
I am like a sacrificial animal,
Repeatedly used, Hundreds of times
Like a shameless Pig
When I am a pawn, I dance in the weakest strength
Go forward as if like a hero,
King, Queen, Bishop, Knight or Rook, all are slaves of the player.
I am that chess piece,
The centre of power only in the name
The root of all power lies in the hands of the Player
Whatever, I am! king & Queen, Knight, Bishop & Rooks,
I am the piece, playing in the hands of the leader
Today I am in the hands of victorious power
Tomorrow the darkness may come down
The storm may blow all around.
Fallen in love! I become the slave of Chess player,
Stateless, Uncrowned, Drunken Player's slayer
Chess piece may become the bondsman of the criminals
The King, Queen, Bishop, Rook Or Knights all become weapons of the drunken claws
There is no side of the cocoon,
Black or white, I take the colour of the player
My honor is to dance in the hands of a chess player,
