বন্ধুগো, এ বেলায় বেঁচে আছি এই মহা মর্ত্যে,
এই কথা বলা যায় সময়ের রং মাখা পরতে,
বেলাটুকু বয়ে গেছে জীবনটা গড়তে,
জীবনটা চলে গেছে পড়তে-লিখতে,
নানারঙে নানাভাবে খেলতে,
দিবাশেষে আঁধারে নিদ্রায় থাকতে,
তারুণ্য চলে গেছে লড়তে,
যৌবন চলে গেছে ভালোটুকু বাসতে,
অর্থ-বিত্তের আয়োজন করতে,
খাওয়া দাওয়া, আড্ডায় মাখামাখি সারতে,
এবেলায় এসে যদি কেউ বলে জীবনের ছবিটুকু আঁকতে,
বার্তায় কেউ যদি চায় শুধু জানতে,
কোথায়, কেমন আছি জগতের কোন দিক প্রান্তে,
হয়ে যাই আমি তবে, আলিগেরি দান্তে,
লিখে যাই, "স্বর্গীয় প্রহসন (DIVINE COMEDY)" যদি তুমি জানতে!
ধীরে ধীরে বয়ে চলে নদী অবশ্রান্তে,
স্বর্গ (PARADISE) ও নরকের (INFERNO) কাব্যে,
ঝুলে আছে জীবনটা বারযাখ (PURGATORY) আলেখ্যে।।
Divine Comedy
O' Friend, I am still alive in this great mortal world,
This is to say, to wear the colour of time,
The time has flown to build life,
Life goes on reading and writing,
To play in different colours,
To sleep in the dark at the end of the day,
Youth is gone to fight,
The youth is gone to live well,
To manage finances,
Eating, drinking, chatting,
If you ask to draw a picture of life,
If you ask for a message just to know,
Where and how am! I am at one end of the world,
I become, however, Alighieri Dante,
I am still writing the "Divine Comedy" if you would know!
The river is flowing slowly towards exhaustion,
In the poems of Paradise and Inferno,
Life hangs in the balance in the painting of Purgatory.
