আমি বাস করছি এক দুনিয়া পাশরে,
ব্যাথার এক অফুরন্ত সাগরে,
দুরন্ত বেদনার আকরে,
অস্থির যন্ত্রণার বাসরে,
অবিশ্রান্ত দুখের আসরে,
অবাধ্য বিষাদের হাশরে।
আমার চারিদিকে গড়েছি এক কৃত্রিম দেয়াল,
যন্ত্রণাকে করছি নিত্য আড়াল,
দুর্দান্ত হাসি আমার অভিনয়ের চোয়াল,
শরীরে জড়িয়েছি মনোরম পোশাকের জোয়াল,
ব্যাবহারে অমায়িক ভদ্রতার পিয়াল,
আচারে পরেছি ধার্মিকতার নোয়াল,
কথার ফুলঝুরি আমার শৈল্পিক গয়াল,
আমি এক অসাধারণ অভিনেতা ময়াল।
ছদ্ম সাজানো এই জগত ভয়াল,
বিস্মৃত এই প্রান্তর থেকে মুক্তি দাও,
হে মহাপ্রভু দয়াল।।
Living with pain
I live in a world of oblivion,
In an endless sea of pain,
In the convulsion of agony,
In the throes of anguish,
In the assembly of endless sorrow,
In the resurrection of disobedient sadness.
I have built an artificial wall around me,
Where, I'm always hiding the pain,
Great smile is an excellent performance of my jaw,
Beautiful clothes wrapped around my body are expression of chain,
The gentle politeness in my behaviour is pannikin,
I wear a robe of nobility,
I bend down in the play of righteousness,
The sparkle of words are my artistic excellence,
I am an extraordinary actor in this world of oblivion.
This world of disguise is terrible,
Deliver me from this forgotten desert,
O' great Lord of kindness.
