তোমার কাছে ফিরে আসি আমি উপসংহারে
জন্মেই আমার প্রথম সুখ, এই সংসারে
আলোকিত সূর্য্যের ভারে,
আমি পায়ে পায়ে চলি, ধূলি ধূসরে
ব্রহ্মপুত্র নদের তরংগ বিহারে,
আমার কণ্ঠ উলঙ্গ হয় বর্নমালা বিহারে
পিতা, মাতা, ভাই, বোন, প্রিয়জন সমভিব্যাহারে
সবুজ গ্রামে আর বিদ্যুতায়িত শহরে
আমি ফিরে আসি উপসংহারে ।।

কত শত আশা নিয়ে, যেতে চাই আমি প্রবাসে, আহারে,
স্বপ্ন দেখি, চিত্তে কত সুখ লিখা আছে ক্ষমতার বাহারে
কন্ঠজুড়ে আগ্নেয়গিরির লেলিহান শিখা চতুর্দিক প্রহারে
কক্ষচ্যুত হই আমি পড়ন্ত দ্বীপ্রহরে,
কোথাও জল নেই এই দুরন্ত আসরে
অনন্ত সাগরের নোনাজলে তৃষ্ণার্ত আঁচলে
কোথাও একমুঠো সৈকত নেই, দাঁড়াই চরাচরে
আমি আবার বিস্ফোরিত হই শক্তির অন্তরে
জন্মভূমি, সূচনা যেখানে তোমারি প্রান্তরে
আমার ফিরে আসা দিবাশেষে অবসন্ন প্রহরে
অপরাহ্ণে তোমারি অন্তরে, গ্লানিতে, শ্রান্তিতে
আমি ফিরে আসি উপসংহারে।।

Born here, my first happiness, here is my abode
In the heavy weight of the illuminated sun code
I started walking on dusty gray road
The waves of the Brahmaputra river implored,
My voice became naked in alphabetical sword
Father, Mother, Brother, Sister, Love poured
In green villages and in electrified city's accord
In the afternoon within your heart exhausted
I come back to conclude.

With millions of hopes, I wanted abroad,
Alas! I dreamt! Enormous happiness on board
Written in the dirt, beyond power code
Volcano erupted from my throat,
Hit all around the court
Suddenly, I am out of the milky way, lost my road
Now, there is no water anywhere in this abode
In the endless salty water in the Ocean hoard
No space to stand in the sandy beaches gored
Again in the heart of energy I want to explode
Motherland, I come back to your abode
Where was the beginning of the road
End of the day, I came back exhausted
Came back to your heart in the afternoon, to conclude.
