স্বার্থ চেয়েছি, কেউ মানুক বা না মানুক এটাই সত্যি
ভালোবাসার স্বার্থটা সব থেকে বেশি চেয়াছি।
মায়ের ভালোবাসা যেমন সন্তানের প্রতি মিষ্টি হাসির
শিক্ষকের কাছে যেমন ছাত্রের সুশিক্ষার জন্য
প্রকৃতির মতো উদারতার যেমন সীমাহীন,
ঠিক তেমন স্বার্থ চাই, তোমার কাছে তোমাদের কাছে।
স্বার্থ ছাপিয়ে সঠিক ও সত্যকে বুকে ধারণ করতে
ন্যায়ের তরে অবিচারকে ঘৃনা করতে,
সব শেষে নিজেকে নিজেই ভালোবাসার স্বার্থে
অভাবটাকে আনন্দের অনুভব তুলতে চেয়েছি।
তার পরেও পারিনা
চোখের সামনে অভাবগ্রস্ত কেউ না খেয়ে আছে দেখতে
পারিনা ধর্ষিত বোনের চিৎকার কানে শুনতে,
সহ্য করে নিতে হয় অনিয়ম দুর্নীতি ব্যবসায়িক সিন্ডিকেট
এই সহ্য করাটাও এক প্রকার স্বার্থ,
তবে ভালোবাসার স্বার্থের থেকে বেশি নয়।
