মাস জুলাই তুমি বল
মৌমাছি কোথায়-
কোথায় সেই গোলাপী আভা-
কোথায় খড়?
জুলাই বলে-
কোথায় সেই বীজ-
কোথায় সেই কুঁড়ি-
কোথায় মে মাস?
উত্তর দাও- আমাকে-
না না- মে মাস বলে-
আমাকে বরফ দেখাও-
আমাকে ঘণ্টাধ্বনি দেখাও-
আমাকে হালকা হলুদ-চামড়া রঙের
পাখি দেখাও!
বিহগ সামান্য আপত্তি দিয়ে বলে
ভুট্টা কোথায়?-
কোথায় সে আবছায়া-
কণ্টকময় বীজকোষ কোথায়?

Show me the Snow—
Show me the Bells—
Show me the Jay!
Quibbled the Jay—
Where be the Maize—
Where be the Haze—
Where be the Bur?
