অনেকটা ঝুড়ির মতো
ডালপালা এবং চুল,
আশ্চর্যজনকভাবে
বড়
এবং গভীর-
গাছের মধ্যে
আমার বেডরুমের
জানালা
আমি জানতাম
সেখানে কিছু বাস করতো
তুমি অনুমান করো না
একটি নীড়ে বাস করতো।
তারপর আমি জানতাম:
সেখানে একজন মানুষ বাস করতো।
এবং একবার আমি জানতাম-
নীড়, প্রায়
বিচ্ছিন্ন,

More like a basket
of twig and hair,
surprisingly
tall
and deep—
in a tree
outside my bedroom
window.
I knew
something lived in there
you wouldn’t assume
lived in a nest.
Then I knew:
a human lived there.
And once I knew—
the nest, nearly
disintegrated,
still in the tree.
It wasn’t about trauma, the perfect
and then the broken
nest
in which a human
lived—
Born and lit and broken
comes I.
