আজ রাতে জ্যোৎস্নালোকিত শিতাংশু
ভীষণ পছন্দ. . .
যখন গোধূলির
সব কিছু একত্রিত হয়েছে
রমণীর নরম ঝলমলে পোশাকের শেষ প্রান্ত গুলোর
আর পাখির শেষ কূজনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে
আজকের চাঁদনী রাত -
ভুলে যাওয়া স্বপ্নের মতো শীতল,
হারিয়ে যাওয়া গোধূলির চেয়ে ও
প্রিয় গাছের মাঝে যেখানে পাখিরা
আর গান করবেনা।

Moon tonight,
Beloved . . .
When twilight
Has gathered together
The ends
Of her soft robe
And the last bird-call
Has died.
Moon tonight—
Cool as a forgotten dream,
Dearer than lost twilights
Among trees where birds sing
No more.
