প্রথম মা:
মা দিচ্ছে উপদেশ কন্যারে তার
কীকরে সাজাবে সে নূতন সংসার।
‘পুরুষ মানুষ হচ্ছে রণের তাজী ঘোড়ার মত
আনতে পারলে বশে চালাতে পারবে ইচ্ছামত।
ভালবাসায় পারলে আগলিয়ে রাখতে তারে
পারবে তবে সব কথা তব তারে শুনাবারে।
বিগড়াতে গেলে তারে নানান ছুতায়
লাত্থি মেরে ফেলে দেবে তোমায় নির্দ্ধিধায়।
পুরুষের অসহ্য কিন্তু নারীর চোখের জল
তাইতো নারী-প্রেমে হয় সে সদা বিহ্বল।
মায়া-মমতায় রাখলে জড়িয়ে সবসময়
দাম্পত্য জীবন তব হবে চির-সুখময়!
যদি মেনে চলো আমার দেয়া উপদেশ
নবজীবন কাটবে তব আনন্দে অশেষ।’
প্রথম মেয়ে:
ভরসা রাখতে পারো মা আমার ’পর বেশ
ভুলব না কভু তোমার এমন হিতোপদেশ।
মায়া-মমতায় জড়িয়ে করব তারে আপন
সংসার সাজাতে নিচ্ছি যে আমি দৃঢ়-পণ।
দ্বিতীয় মা:

‘পুরুষ হচ্ছে বদের হাড্ডি, বড়ই বজ্জাত
একে পেঁচাতে হয় যে আঙুলে প্রথম রাত।
এদের স্বভাব হলো অত্যাচারী ঘোড়ার মত
পেছনে গেলেই তোমায় লাথি মারবে ইচ্ছামত।
তাই লাগাতে হবে লাগাম তারে শুরুতে
নথ লাগাতে হবে নাকে বাঁধতে দড়িতে।
তেড়ি-মেড়ি করলেই দড়িতে দেবে টান
অমনিতেই বাধ্য হবে, না টেনে পিছুটান।
নারীর রক্তচক্ষুতে পুরুষের খুবই ভীতি
নারীর শাসনে তাই জাগে পুরুষের সুমতি।
যদি পারো মেনে চলতে আমার পরামর্শ
তবেই হবে সংসার তোমার এক আদর্শ।’
দ্বিতীয় মেয়ে:
তুমি কি জানো না মা, কার মেয়ে আমি
আমি কি জানব না কীকরে চালায় স্বামী?
বাসর রাতেই দেব তারে সবক আমি এমন
এক চাবিতেই সারাজীবনের নেব যে নিয়ন্ত্রণ।
তোমার পছন্দ:
কোন মায়ের পরামর্শ বেছে নেবে কন্যা তুমি
রচিতে তব সংসার, আচঁলে বাঁধতে তব স্বামী?
সঠিক নির্বাচনের ভার ছাড়লাম তোমার হাতে
প্রজ্ঞায় নাও বেছে, স্বামী-সংসার তব সাজাতে।

“Men are very scoundrel and fright
They’ve to be twisted on the finger in the first night.
Their nature is like a bully horse
If you go backwards, will kick you much of course.
So put the bridle wire in the beginning
Nose-ring to be put to tie the rope with ring.
You will pull the rope if the trouble he makes

Men are afraid if sees women’s bloody eyes thence
So, men’s intelligence arises in women’s governance.
If you follow my advice that factual

2nd girl:
Don't you know mother, whose daughter I meant?
Don’t I know how to handle the husband?
