I can't say - 'Mother'.
I can't walk with my father
I can't read with my sister
I can't play with my brother.
I can't mix with neighbour
It gives me deep pain and I suffer.
But in this world I am a disabled and weaker child
I am not desirous, I am unwanted ones in your mind.
আমি বলতে পারি না যে
'মা' কথাটি প্রাণটি ভরে,
আমি হাঁটতে পারি না তো
বাবার সাথে হাতটি ধরে।
আমি সাথী হতে পারি নাকো
আমার প্রিয় বোনের পাঠে,
আমি খেলতে পারি নাতো যেয়ে
ভাইয়ের সাথে খেলার মাঠে।
আমি মিশতে পারি না কখনো
প্রতিবেশী জনের সাথে,
ব্যথিত করে আমাকে এসব,
কাঁদায় না পারার বেদনাতে।
আমি প্রতিবন্ধী, দুর্বল শিশু
তোমাদের এই ধরনীতে,
আমি কাঙ্ক্ষিত নই, অবাঞ্ছিত
তোমাদেরই ধমনীতে।
I can't see, it's not my fault
I can't walk, it's not my default
I can't hear, it's not my mistake
I can't understand, it's not my sake
This is an accident
Or an unfortunate event.
আমি দেখতে পারি না,
হাঁটতে পারি না,
বলতে পারি না তো কথা,
আমি শুনতে পারি না,
বুঝতে পারি না
তোমরা যাহা পারো যথা।
দোষ নয় তো এটা কখনো আমার,
এটা নিছক দুর্ঘটনা,
দুর্ভাগ্যের শিকার হয়ে বয়ে যাই
আমি এক অসীম যন্ত্রণা।
But I do not want to be a burden on this world
I just want little space to say 'My word'-
'It's my world and I am not a stranger
I am a worker, I am not a beggar.'
কিন্তু আমি তো চাহি না সেটা
বোঝা হয়ে থাকি ঘাড়ে,
আমি চাই একটু সহযোগিতা,
যেন এ মন বলতে পারে-
'এই পৃথিবীটা আমারও আমি
নহি অবাঞ্ছিত দুর্বল,
আমিও কর্মঠ, নই ভিখারী,
আমি নহি যে হীনবল।
I believe - I can do all if I get opportunity
It's my promise - I will live in this world with dignity.
আমি বিশ্বাস করি -'আমি পারবোই,
সব কাজ আমি পারবোই পারবো',
এটাই আমার প্রতিজ্ঞা যে - 'করবোই,
জয় তো আমি করবোই করবো
