ঝুপড়ি নিবাসের পাশে
অবসরে হালিমের পড়ে থাকা তিনচাকার গতর
অভিমানে আত্মমগ্ন, নীরবে দাঁড়িয়ে
প্রায় একমাস যাত্রীশূন্য নিথর
বোঝে না কেউ সে ব্যথা
যার বোঝা সেই জানে, কেবল ঠেকে বোঝে হালিম
নিগূঢ় জ্বলনের নিশ্চুপ কথা ।
ভেঙে খেয়ে জমা, শূন্যে বাজে তালি
আগুনের শিখাতেও শীতলতা
নীরবতা চুলোতে, হাঁড়িও পড়ে থাকে খালি
সয় না জঠরের যন্ত্রণা, শিশুর মুখের ক্রমাগত কান্না
পরিবারের জঠরাগ্নি ছটফট, ঝুপড়িতে তিনদিন
হয়নিকো একটুও রান্না ।
মুখ চেনা ত্রাণের দানের দেখা
হলো না কয়েক দিন
কাজ চাই, কাজ নেই থেমে থাকা ঘড়ির কাটায়
ক্ষুধার বিরতি নেই, উদরে বাড়ে দিনদিন
দূর করো ক্ষুধাকে, পেট চিনচিন ।
নিরুপায় নিদারুণ অন্ধকারে, নিগূঢ়ে কি ভাবে হালিম ?
হালিমের মনোমাঝে শুধু ঝড় বয়
শক্ত দেহ তার, বলবান দুটি হাত
মনে মনে এ সময়ে কী কথা সে কয় … ?
