১৯৬৮ সালে জন্ম উত্তরবঙ্গের জলপাইগুড়িতে। তারপর কোলকাতা। বানিজ্যে স্নাতক এই লেখকের প্রথম কবিতা প্রকাশ ১৯৮৬ সালে আর প্রথম গল্প ১৯৮৯ সালে। বিগত চৌত্রিশ বছরের বেশি সময় ধরে লেখালেখির জগতে আছেন। অদ্যাবধি প্রকাশিত চোদ্দটি কাব্যগ্রন্থ, আটটি উপন্যাস আর পাঁচটি গল্পগ্রন্থ ও একটি প্রবন্ধের বই। সোপান সাহিত্য সম্মান-সহ পেয়েছেন অসংখ্য সম্মাননা। সিনেমাপোযোগী গল্প লিখে প্রথম পুরস্কারস্বরূপ পেয়েছেন স্বর্ণপদক। বর্তমানে আনন্দবাজার রবিবাসরীয়তে চলছে লেখকের ধারাবাহিক উপন্যাস।

Born in 1968 in Jalpaiguri, North Bengal. Grew up near Tea Estates and wide open land. Then straight headed to Kolkata. Done Graduation and Diploma in Business and Management. The first poem that significantly in 1986, with bunch of eminent writers like Sunil, Shakti, Premendra, Subhash Mukherjee, Nirendranatha, Samar Sen, as well as the Poets from Bangladesh like Helal Hafiz, celebrated the start of the journey with poetry. After the 4th place in the all-India poetry competition, the poet travels the land of poetry around for nearly three decades now.
